Car Slams Into Tree on Long Island (FOX 5 New York) - One man was killed when his car went off the road and crashed head-on into a tree into a tree on the Southern State Parkway on Long Island Tuesday afternoon, police said. Witnesses said the 2005 Toyota Camry was speeding and moving erratically just before it drove onto the shoulder and slammed into a tree just east of Exit 29 (Route 107) in Massapequa.
